DIY Scalloped Edge Shorts

You will need:

A pair of old jeans

A scissors

A round shaped object

Fabric chalk

What to Do:

Firstly cut the jeans up to your desired length. Then, using your round shaped object, I used a small tub of blusher, mark out your scallops with fabric chalk. Cut along the marked lines and hey presto, you have a pair of scalloped edge shorts!

*You may need to press the edges down with an iron to prevent them from curling!

The End Result:

I only heard about Ellery last season and was instantly in love with the label!

The designer, who is from Perth Australia, studied in Central Saint Martins and previously worked for Russh magazine. If the latest collection is anything to go buy, I think this label is going from strength to strength!

Personally I have always loved Penneys and how they make fashion so accessible and up to the minute. But this season, I really think they've got so it right! This year Brown Thomas have collaborated with the amazing Marc Jacobs to design a bag for their Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign. The bags will be available in all Brown Thomas and BT2 stores on Friday 6th May and believe me why I say they fly out the door!!

The limited edition tote will sell for €35 and every penny goes towards helping and raising awareness of breast cancer.

This is something that is very close to my heart, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way so I hope you'll put Friday 6th May in your diary and help this very worthy cause!

Brown Thomas Fashion Show

Last night I was working at a fashion show hosted by Brown Thomas in The Woodford bar, Cork. It was a casual evening with champagne reception, contemporary menswear & womenswear collections, finger food and a dj.

We found some battered old army boots and "prettied" them up using
flowers, spray paint and butterflies,

to decorate the tables in the bar

We congregated in the new vintage treasure trove on Corks Washington Street last night

for cupcakes, tea and chats.

Aswell as rummaging through Turquoise Flamingos vintage gems, we discussed exciting ideas for the store, planned our little fashion exchange

and oohed and awwed over the vintage Fendi clutch for sale in the store!

It's very simple to do... just quite time consuming.

And the best bit is it only cost €2!!

pulling each thread and ensuring not to rip them to get the desired draping effect.

I received these little beauties in the post recently but hadn't got around to taking a photo of them for you.

Basically they are decorative "hugs" that you slip on over your boots to make them a bit more interesting and unique. They come in a variety of styles but I think the feathers are my favourite:)!

DIY Embellished Clutch

This DIY is perfect for a last minute touch to your New Years Eve outfit and is quick and easy to do!

All you need to do is remove any trimmings that are already on your clutch, and then glue on your new embellishments, covering as much of the bag as possible.

Leave to dry, lying flat, while you do your hair and make-up, and then your sparkly new clutch is ready to hit the town with you:)!

I think I'm pretty much in love with this entire collection from Natalie B. Coleman. As a firm lover of sheer and a quality, individual t-shirt, it ticks all my boxes.

A recent graduate from LSAD and Central St Martins, shes based between London & Ireland, and is rapidly making a name for herself in the fashion industry.

By now I'm sure you've all been drooling over the Lanvin and H&M Collaboration, so I wont bore you by posting all the photos from the Lookbook. Just this one:)! I have got to get this t-shirt dress, its so simple, so chic, so Lanvin! I'm actually very impressed with this collection, definitely one of the best designer/highstreet collaborations yet in my opinion.

Unfortunately Cork wont be receiving any of the pieces, so Ive decided to just try for this piece online. I'm thinking that everyones going to go straight for the dresses, so fingers crossed I'll be lucky enough to get my mitts on it:)!

I was lucky enough to attend the Barbara Bui Spring Summer show during Fashion Week. Its was held at the picturesque Alexander III Bridge and the sun was splitting the stones!

This show exceeded all my expectations! The venue, the collection, the people, the music, everything was just amazing!

This collection consisted of sporty luxe looks with a utility feel, in a muted colour palette of khaki, camel, black and caramel. My favourite pieces were all the leather, the silky jumpsuits and the teeny tiny shorts! I also loved the snakeskin detailing and the sequin clusters.

We were quietly tucked away in the cosy snug, where we drank, gossiped and munched on delicious fresh pizza! We talked about work, blogs, Irish magazines and street style and made some plans for the impending Irish Blogger Bash in Dublin!

Its so great to meet up with like minded people who all share an interest in fashion, beauty and blogging, its safe to say we never run out of things to talk about:)!

I recently got asked to review a pair of Whooga boots, they are a genuine alternative to Ugg boots, which to be honest wouldn't be very high up on my wishlist... So I said I'd try them anyway to see what I think, afterall what woman says no to the offering of shoes?!

So they arrived (in a very cute box) and I have to say, I actually really liked them!! They're fully lined with beautiful Australian Merino fleece and have got to be the softest, comfiest shoes I've ever worn! I think I can safely say that I will be living in these during the cold winter months and dark mornings! I opted for the lovely grey knitted pair, which can be scrunched down around the ankle or folded over. I prefer scrunched down:)!

They are manufactured in China, but did you know that all Ugg brands are now made there?? I didn't!
